Looking for a New Direction? Follow Your Intuition!

25. Apr 2008 09:32, shahjee

It's impossible to ignore any longer. Your hair is beginning its transition to "sophisticated silver." Your face is taking on the look of a "wise" woman. And your kids, friends, parents, neighbors - and mysteriously, your husband - all seem to be "changing" before your very eyes, (the ones with the latest contact lenses). No need to mention the daily battle with the bathroom scales; that goes without saying.

So what to do? Assume a devil-may-care demeanor? Tell everyone you've earned your face and you're damn proud of every crease? Change your name to J-Lo? Or start a "New You" campaign and begin an extreme makeover with the ultimate goal a younger, richer husband in a different part of the country.

But wait! Before you do anything, listen carefully to what your best and closest advisor has to say. "Who's that?" you ask. "Your intuition," we respond.

That's right, your intuition. You know it's there. You've known it since you were a little girl, but somehow, that wonderfully accurate guidance system has grown rusty through the years - or has it been your ability to "hear" what it's been trying to tell you? Let's revisit your inner guide, re-learn how to interpret its messages, and get back on the road to a healthy, positive, confident You.

Trust your inner wisdom — People who believe in trusting their intuition tend to be more successful in life. Intuition is often referred to as a "hunch" or a "gut feeling." But there are many ways to receive this vital information, which may come to you through feelings, words, physical sensations, images, fleeting impressions, or dreams. Pay attention to how you receive these impressions and check in often with your inner "Success Coach."

Ask you intuition questions — When you're in the midst of a difficult life situation begin the habit of asking questions of your intuition. "What is it that I am here to learn?" "What is the best possible outcome for this situation?" The answer may not always leap into your mind. It takes time to retrain your thinking to "hear" the subtle messages from your guidance system. You may find that the answer comes in an impulse to try something different, or a gradual awakening to a new way of thinking about an obstacle you're confronting. Keep in mind that your intuition can help guide you to peace in any situation.

Dream, Reflect and Meditate — Intuitive answers to life's concerns come most easily during meditation, prayer and reflection. All you need is a few moments to still your mind. Find a place at your home or the office where you won't be disturbed and take a few deep breaths and turn your focus within. You might find it helpful to have a centering word or words that you say to yourself. These could include, "God," "Calm," "Peace be still" or any other word or phrase that enables you to find the quiet place within. Know that there is wisdom in the Universe that flows through you and all around you. It has your best interests at heart. When your mind is still and your heart is open, the answers you seek can come to you.

Discover what you love to do — Each of us has chosen to come into this life with a mission that will bring us joy and enthusiasm. The root of the word enthusiasm is entheos. It literally means "God Within." When you feel enthusiastic about your dreams it means God is speaking through you and saying "yes" to your goals! The feeling of enthusiasm is one of the ways intuition speaks to us. Successful people pay attention to what they feel passionate about. They commit to spending time each day doing what they love. For some it's a job that pays. For others it may be volunteer work or a hobby. When you feel excited about something, that's a hint about what to pursue.

Don't be afraid of fear - Fear is the biggest hurdle that stops most people from achieving their dreams. It happens when you move out of the comfort zone of the life you've known and into a life on the borders of your dreams. Many of us feel the fear and say, "I'm not going one step further." Or "Give me a guarantee of success and then I'll move forward." Or even, "I feel scared. This must be my intuition telling me that this direction is wrong." As you take action on your dreams you may feel as if you're on the edge of a cliff. You're about to take a leap of faith and no one is there to catch you. But you're not alone. The inspiration and direction from your intuition is there to guide you safely to your hopes and dreams.

Choose to be happy —Part of learning to trust your intuition is remembering to ask, "Does this decision make me happy?" or "Do I feel energized by this decision?" There are many ways to ask the question and experience the answer, but here's the truth: your intuition will provide you with the information you need to make positive choices. Research has shown that happiness is a choice. It is not necessarily dependent on life circumstances. There is always a positive and a negative aspect to any change that occurs in our lives, and isn't it wonderful that we get to choose our focus?

A long time ago, I got in the habit of asking, "What's good about this situation?" I promise you that if you do the same, you'll be surprised at the happiness that brightens your world. Have fun with all of this. And have a great life!

How To Be A Lucky Guy?

14. Feb 2007 23:39, shahjee

Want to be a lucky guy or gal? There are things you can do to become one. In fact, there are at least a dozen luck "techniques" that you can use. I have been using them for years, and yes, they say I'm a lucky guy. Here are two of the most important things you can do.

Lucky Guy Tip - Get Ready For Luck

When we bought a house for $17,500 from the bank, and later sold it for a nice profit, people said "You're so lucky!" Yes, we were lucky that we had the cash saved, because they weren't offering financing at that price. We were lucky that had savings, making it easy to quit our jobs and move to this new town.

A friend who owns a used car dealership had cash flow problems. He could get a couple great cars at auction, but needed $1500. He offered a car as security if I would loan him the money for 10 days for $100 interest. Not only was I lucky enough to make an easy $100, but he was so grateful that he sold me a car for $1,600 that was worth much more.

Preparation puts the odds in your favor. If you were in the situations above, you couldn't necessarily do what I did. But if you had arranged to borrow $17,500 from a someone, you could have split the profits on the house. If you had a credit card in the second situation, a cash advance fee and interest would have cut your profit in half, but then maybe it's even luckier to make money with none of your own money.

In whatever area of your life you want to be a lucky guy, start preparing. There are always things you can do to allow for more luck. When you want to be lucky in love, you comb your hair, right? If you want to have good luck as a singer, start practicing, make a list of places you can audition, read up on how other singers became successful. Start getting ready for good luck.

Lucky Guy Tip - Be In The Right Place

My wife was recently lucky enough to get a good job teaching Spanish. She never was able to find jobs like this when we lived in a small northern Michigan town. When we moved here to Tucson, Arizona, things changed. Not surprisingly, there are often more opportunities in larger towns.

Naturally, you are more likely to get a "lucky break" as a movie star in Hollywood than in Toledo, Ohio. You'll have more opportunities to sail in a city on a coast. If you want to be a great skier, should you move to Alabama or Colorado? You get the point.

It isn't just about moving to "luckier" cities, though. Being in the right place is a matter of daily choices too. "Hanging out" where management does is more likely to lead to a promotion at work than spending time with the other employees. We spend time at real estate investing club meetings, and were just approached with an offer to partner on a great deal.

Find the "right places," and make it a point to be there. Imagine two men looking for the woman of their dreams. One stays home and dreams while the other accepts an invitation to a party. Who's more likely to be the lucky guy?

Motivation – Simple Tips to Motivate Yourself To Achieve Anything!

2. Feb 2007 21:17, shahjee

By: Sacha Tarkovsky

Motivation can help you achieve anything you desire but how do you motivate yourself to achieve your goals?

It’s not simply a question of saying I am motivated, if this was the case everyone would achieve there goals and fact is most do not.

To achieve positive motivation and more importantly keep motivated you need to channel two character traits.

Desire

The first road to achieving goals is to have the desire to achieve them. Many people however are frightened of desire. Why?

Quite simply they feel that they may not achieve and will end up disappointed. In this case desire can be termed dreaming.

To have desire you need to not only want something but feel you are able to achieve it.

You need desire then burns within you and you can then channel it into action.

Realism = Belief

To have desire and then motivate yourself to a goal requires realistic aims to give you the belief that you will achieve and believe is a massive motivational tool.

Many people simply set un-realistic goals that are impossible to achieve and get de motivated quickly as they don’t really deep down believe they can achieve it.

The goal is simply to daunting and they cannot maintain motivation to reach it and quickly give up.

The key here is to make goals realistic and set several smaller goals that lead to your ultimate goal.

Break your ultimate goal into sub goals

For example, you want to run a marathon but you have never run one before so you cant achieve it straightway so you set small sub goals of varying distances in time frames.

When you reach a sub goal tick it off, reward yourself and move onto the next goal.

This will keep you motivated, you will see know you will be working toward your ultimate goal in steps and keep in mind the longest journey always starts with “one step”

You cant achieve everything you want

No one can. You need to be realistic about what you can achieve and make sure that it is something you know you can achieve.

If you make your goals realistic and achievable, you can achieve a better life for you and your loved ones.

Staying motivated

When you have set your goals, Write them down and focus on how your life will improve and make sure that you visualise the end result, before you work toward your goal so that you can see and the benefits that will be a consequence of your action.

Keep in mind

Motivation can sometimes be hard to achieve but if a goal is realistic you can do it.

Also keep in mind that if you fail to set realistic targets and goals you will never be able to channel your desire into action.

In fact, your desire will really just remain wishful thinking and dreaming.

There is nothing to stop anyone motivating themselves to achieve goals that

will make their lives better and you can do it to if you adopt the right mindset.
